Uzi Folding Stock Vs Fixed Stock, Which Is Better?

It depends on what your overall goal is. To have the most compact or a more comfortable platform. I have both varieties and can say that the fixed stock offers a more stable shooting platform for long sessions, but the folding stock is not that bad in terms of comfort. The one thing about the folding stock is it does shrink the size down quite a bit compared to the fixed stock. My first Uzi was a MP2 German Military variant with straight top fixed stock that fits me and I run it suppressed, its got some weight to it and fires well feels great in the hands and shoulders nicely. The folding stock also shoulders nicely, but cheek welds the thin metal is not as comfortable as the rounded wood, but again not too bad. In many cases the stocks are interchangeable, but if you make one from a parts kit, it may or may not allow easy transitions between stocks due to your welds interferring with the fit of the folding stock or a tighter fit of the fixed stock. I have experienced that and for that I leave the fixed stock alone and have the folding stock for the other one. Both of mine are still in the white and could use some cleaning up, but I have been more concerned with functionality and accuracy than cosmetics. I can clean them up later after, but function, accuracy and durability are my main focus since they are still in the testing phase.. 

If I had to choose, I would pick fixed stock for a primary shooter, but folding stock has that iconic look and still feels good enough to use regularly. Hopefully they interchange on your parts kit build and give you the choice. Just make sure to grind down your welds and whichever you choose should put a huge smile on your face. For me the Uzi SMG is the funnest most enjoyable firearm in my collection even with the undressed welds still being in the white, it just shoots great. I can overlook the cosmetic short comings for now until I get more rounds downrange. Kinda waiting for something to break or fail, but so far nothing too crazy. Of course they are not perfect, but they fire and fuction better than most of my factory assembled guns I have and just more enjoyable, not to mention the accuracy is beyond sufficient for the relatively crude iron sights. Will be making a more modernized version for testing with a new stock configuration and red dot to see if it increases my appreciation for such an awesome design that is difficult to improve upon. I love this.
